THAILAND

KINGDOM OF

I underwent a student exchange program at Kasetsart University's Faculty of Engineering with the degree of Electrical-Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering under the KU One Semester Scholarship Program for ASEAN+ Students from August to December 2022. While studying, I took the opportunity to explore Thailand.

BANGKOK

KRUNG THEP MAHA NAKHON

This is where I live. Being the main capital of the country, this city has numerous tourist attractions like temples, night markets, bars, museums, and malls.  The transportation system made it easier to travel around the city, and Thais are friendly.

Temple Hopping

When you visit Bangkok, the first thing you can easily do is visit the monasteries and temples. I consider it a way to introduce myself to Thai culture and Buddhism. There are many temples located in the city, I was able to visit Wat Arun, Wat Pho, Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen,  and  Wat Phra Kaew. These temples are near the Grand Palace of Thailand. For students, like me, admission is free.

PHUKET

Phuket is one of the must-visit places in Thailand. Aside from the glorious islands and beaches it also offers fun activities and tours around the town. On our 5D4N trip, we roamed around the city, sailed to Phi phi and Krabi island, and had a fun day with giant elephants. The province is located in the south of Thailand, surrounded by the waters of the Andaman Sea. It is suggested to visit Phuket from November to February when the weather is mostly sunny.
