When I was a kid, I remember cutting out images from a magazine and sticking it on a notebook then creating my own crafty fashion magazine layout with random squiggly lines to imitate a well-written article.

I was fascinated by magazines at a very young age, I love observing the harmony between letters, images and white spaces. It was a pleasure seeing properly aligned paragraphs, texts that are divided into columns, diverse font styles and breathtaking images. Looking at magazines gives me comfort. Browsing every page just to look at the overall layout of each sheet.

My love for magazines brought me into campus journalism where I worked as a layout artist. When I was a junior high student, I learned how to design a newspaper and I developed my skill in graphic design. It was amazing to realize that it is not by-chance or luck that made me a layout artist but I was really drawn into designing since when I was kid, I just don’t know or appreciate it yet.

Now, I started this website where I can write articles and design it. Since, I am a BS Chemical Engineering student, there’s no hyper-creative activity that we do so this is my way to release my creative juices and to further develop my skill in designing. Short Throwback Story

When I was a kid I always ask my mom to buy me a K-zone magazine, nostalgic, right? It is a mag about cartoons and games. Before, having a K-zone mag means that you’re rich (as I remember, it costs Php 100 pesos), and my classmate has many of them. However, we do not always have the money to buy one so I always sat down near the magazine rack and just browse the unpacked ones. I really miss K-zone, I cannot see them now in grocery stores or in Ace Hardware (where I always buy when I was a kid), I wish i could buy one.

P.S. This is my first blog. I just want to tell you (if you’re reading this) why I create this website.
